they started a long time ago when cs looked like that and they like the feeling of it, its all about feel and how well you like the settings now how good they look.
#3 is correct. its the same reason why people like storm use arrow keys instead of wasd. wasd makes more sense but back in the day thats how they played and theyre not gonna change so many years later, they have no reason to. they are pros with the settings they have and theyre not gonna change.
resolutions are picked based on what's best for your style of play, if you're comfortable being super aggressive and outaiming people, u use 640, if you play smart and like to be ready for all situatiions, u use 800, if u awp all the time, u use 1024
ok so give me some advice, iv always liked playing with 800x600 because it looks better and feels better to me, but i have always been told by good players that 640x480 is better for aim etc.
i also get better fps with 640x480 but i'd much rather play on 800x600 as it looks less pixelated to me and feels smoother.
