title guys i really want to know witche one of them is better mouse i used mx510 now i use 518 and i kinda get through the mx i wanna try the da i heard really good comments on him
The G5 is absolutely terrible, there is noway you can say it's a good mouse. You can say that it fits your hand well, or you personally prefer it, but it has extremely bad tracking. It wont even track on a lot of surfaces, yes even after the firmware updates, and it can't handle fast swipes without glitching. Laser technology hasn't progressed far enough to take the place of optical yet.
G5 tracking is fine on my everglide titan. still i woudlnt buy a G5 if you already got the 518. its pretty much the same mouse, but the G5 has problems with several surfaces. if you search for a big mouse the deathadder really is a good choice. i just love its shape. bad thing about it was the fact i had to get hyperglides in order to make it run smooth on my mousepad due to a constructional flaw, dunno if its still current.
but none of logitech ( except g3,g5 ) mice have problems with skipping or firmware. when i got my DA it caused my pc even not to load and when i plugged off it was okay. now i have a new one with v1.25 firmware and it is quite good.

I like the G5 better but the microsoft mouse is more comfy.
I suggest you do the same.

mx518 and g5's die if you click mouse1 too hard. l8.
it fits your hand perfect, or atleast mine.
