Well I just recently bought the new ms 3.0 that microsoft released not too long ago. I've been using the old version of the 3.0 for quite some time now and I absolutely love it. Has anyone bought the new 3.0 and have anything to say about it compared to the old one? When I like something, im not rly the biggest fan of change, so I'm kind of hoping that this new mouse is the same thing with newer mouse feet (mine are worn to shit). Thanks
My friend has the new one, and he claims it's better than the old one. BUT, that's him. I hate change so I'm sticking to the old one. If it dies, it's all good...I have backups. ^_^

You can change shells with the old one so I don't think the shape is very different if at all. It's almost identical aside from a SLIGHTLY better sensor and improved mousewheel (getting rid of the glitch).
shape is the same, its EXACTLY the same mouse it only has this difference:
old one: 6000 fps sensor new one: 9000 fps sensor
besides that everything is the same 400 dpi etc. You will notice that the mouse is just a little more precise but hardly anything big. play with the new one its better u wont regret it.
Yer m8. I also noticed the deathadder felt a little bit smoother(higher DPI?), but that might just have been my desire to make my purchase feel worthwhile... Also the side buttons on the v3 are pretty loose but i never use them anyway ^_^
New ms 3.0 vs old ms 3.0
but the sensor is a bit better
The only thing I guess im worried about is if the weight is the same and the sensitivity is the same.
old one: 6000 fps sensor
new one: 9000 fps sensor
besides that everything is the same 400 dpi etc. You will notice that the mouse is just a little more precise but hardly anything big. play with the new one its better u wont regret it.
Thank you #11 #12 #13
and #14 I dont think the DPI is different.
The v3 is a very good mouse, but i got sick of the mwheel so i switched to DeathAdder, which seems to be as good just without the problems.
