This evening at 2100hr CAL|Phillip was released from CAL. In this unexpected turn of events we stand here asking ourselves why? How is a man to raise a family with no job? No warnings, no red flags. Dumped him in to the streets like yesterdays trash. I say we unionize CAL so no one else is in Phillips shoes. Discuss. P.S. Nick Schweigert is corrupt and likes men.
he may have been biased sometimes but he still spent his own free time helping CAL for many years when most little kids hired for CAL quit after a month. not sure on what he did to get let go.
although several times in cal main my team (and a few others) were qualified for playoffs and would get bumped down allow other teams in for no good reason... (other then cal admins were on the other teams roster).
Ya I was removed from CAL. I was removed for doing something with my own team when I should have let another admin deal with it instead. Only thing I did was be nice to a friend and another admin. A team called Pregame Allstars and zero xpectations merged together to form the current team a2x. We played a whole season winning our division and everything and got out played in the playoffs by unlimited. The majority of the team wanted to move towards a lan team while the others (mainly pga) wanted to just have fun online and play when they could. Myself and Tremblay (leader of pga) decided that my side of the team would remain in main because we had the majority of the active players 5 to be exact that played (3 from the whole season and 2 that played the last 3 weeks and playoffs) and if the division manager allowed it then pga would remain as well or drop down to intermediate because they originally won intermediate the previous season.
According to the CAL rules this is perfectly fine because the team that earned their spot was a2x and the players that played. Only thing Tremblay asked for was to keep the actual team page and we could have the spot but on a blank page which is fine and fair especially since the team page has been in CAL around 7 or 8 seasons. On that agreement, I created a blank team in the placement division and moved it to Main where it was supposed to be and re-named Tremblay's CAL page back to Pregame Allstars. They were slotted to be moved down like agreed upon.
I was released not because anything was corrupt about what I did instead because I took it upon myself to do that instead of allowing another admin not affiliated with the team do it. I didn't look at it as being corrupt or wrong because no rules were broken and nothing was treated differently than any other team.
It was a good run in CAL, I had some people that agreed with most of what I did but had a lot of people that were mad at what I did (those that were banned for breaking the rules). I know that mostly the people that are immature will post here calling me corrupt. Oh well. The only benefit to being an admin is the knowledge that people that break the rules will actually get caught and that any problems your own team has will get dealt with correctly and quickly. There is nothing else that is good for being an admin. So call what I did corrupt but it did not break any rules or hurt anyone else.
I am just glad I was removed because it was a good reason to finally just let CAL go in the direction it is probably supposed to.
There will never be any prizes for CAL unless something major changes but unfortunately the person that owns CAL, Angel Munoz, will never allow the players to have what they deserve without taking his enormous cut first. I provided a season of players with $1,500 dollars and with the current issues at hand I am still debating on whether or not I should go ahead and give the winners of this season the money as well seeing as it was not CAL's money that was being provided but my own out of my own pocket. I wonder if I should even allow CAL to receive any kind of benefit from what I provided.
In my few years of being an admin I made sure that actual people that broke rules, ringing in matches, cheating, and breaking other rules were caught and fair play was allowed. I also was the only one to find private cheats that bypass the ACS client and removed those players from the league as well. I put a lot of work into CAL and for something minor like this to get me removed is dumb but what I did was against our admin rules and I accept that. I just didn't see it as anything major. Anyways, I still support everything that CAL stood for and stands for. It isn't about money and is only about pride and enjoyment of the game of CS which will always be the best first player shooter that could even come close to being considered a sport.
Don't know why you people are saying he is corrupt. I can remember 2 or 3 times when my team has had trouble in CAL, and Phillip was the one that helped resolve the issue in the proper manner. I have been screwed almost every season I've played CAL, even though it was just with friends casually for fun, but none of those times ever resulted from anything Phillip did that I can remember. He always seemed to be the helpful one.

I would've loved reading that if you hadn't of been known for using your position in CAL to advance yourself as a player and to frequently allow teams you were on leniency in terms of AC and CS matters.
I've said it for a long time and it's quite ironic that it's what got your fired for the SECOND time in a row.
all the cal admins are a bunch of corrupt losers. this merciful guy got raped like 16-3 first rnd of calo playoffs and went and got one of our members banned. league has been a joke for years anyways.
