ESWC CANADA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP DATES ANNOUNCED
The countdown has begun to find the best video gaming talent in Canada and to win a chance to represent your country at the international finals in San Jose for the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC). The Canadian event will be hosted in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the dates of August 4th through 6th of 2008.
VanLan Entertainment, the official organizers of this year’s ESWC Canada National Championships, have made arrangements to host the event at the University of British Columbia's War Memorial Gym in Vancouver. Some of the best pro gamers in the North will be battling it out over the three day Canada Finals, all focused on winning 1st place to qualify to progress to the International Finals in San Jose, dates August 25th through 27th of this year

The ESWC Canada National Championships LAN will run over three days, the first day (4th August) will see the beginning of the long journey for gamers to prove their worth in 5 gaming disciplines. In the end a select few will represent Team CANADA for the world to see. Registration for the above games will open on Saturday 24th of May on both http://www.eswc.com/canada AND http://vanlan.ca
ESWC GLOBAL FINALS:
The International Grand Finals are taking place in San Jose between August 25th-27th, where National Champions will be compete for the title of the World's finest.

years ago i wouldn't have complained because EG was always winning. But now that EG are terrible and didn't even manage tos tay in cevo-p, and at last major lan didn't do so well, it's kinda weird to not put the tournament in Toronto, where people can actually go...
so is it fair that all the Alberta teams and BC teams have to come to Toronto or the east coast every year? If you're a good team like NoPression or Sway. Come up with the cash and win the tourney and you will get $5500. Pretty sure that will cover your expenses. Also motus has gone to ESWC what twice now on the east coast? Stop crying because you now have to travel instead of just driving somewhere.

Should've been Toronto... easier for everyone to go there.

To me driving somewhere would be a lot better then flying across the country.
why attend some LAN in Vancouver when you could attend Dreamhack for same plane price ?
