abit of topic but i find the opertunity to make my problem about ati open too!
well im on a shocking graphics card radeon x300 and im told turning my vert sync of will help me get better fps, but i have done this in the past and yes i do get better fps but it also effects the way my mouse moves it lags and just freezes were as before i turn it off my mouse was perfectly fine. any ideas as i need all the fps i can get with my pc!
oh, hey #2, is it all the time or only in cs if the latter, you have to remove one of the noforce launch options, i dont remember which but i had the same problem
#3 only in cs, and that would make sense because i use both noforce commands in launch options, i find myself reconsidering installing ati control centre again haha, thanks alot, im gunna make a system restore point though EpiL just to be sure! thanks anyhow! (+1)
yes.. i relalise this #4, which is why i asked for cs because 1.6 was an older game, an older driver will work better for it.. dont say "newer will work same for old games" no, it doesnt. just like using older directX is better, so is older vid driver if u cant answer my question, dont post
drivers wont help too much per say. if i were you, i would use these: http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&.. and use a lower resolution in CS and lower quality settings.
-sorry if i came of looking like a dick, but people tend to be stubborn on the net.
#9 would u say with an radeon x300 i should bother updating my drivers?
iv also tryed playing with lower res but im using 19" so it looks so pixelated and i cant stand looking at it so im always using 800x600? and what do you mean by lower quality, opengl etc. or?
im not to good with graphic cards etc :) but for now im going to surt my v sync and then consider updating drivers.
I'm trying to remember what those one drivers that are made for gaming are called, it's some website that a guy makes them for nvidia and ATI, I just can't remember the name it has been a while since I have used them.. If I find them/remember what they are I will edit.
And I have a ATI x700 pro, right now I am just using the one's off of the ATI website, I havn't updated them in a while though.

i use 640x480 on my 19in crt so i get used to it.
although i guess with a sh*tty old card like that it makes sense

EDIT: www.omegadrivers.net
having an old driver will most likely glitch your graphics.
my old pc runs 6x4 on high quality at 100 fps until i see smoke. with x300se
