so i'm doing a power point presentation on counter-strike and i'm going to educate the class(a bullshit high school public speaking class) on counter-strike... so i figured y not ask the experts on gotfrag about what to include in it... :D t
As much as I like CS, I'd recommend not doing a high school speech about it.
But if you must, just talk about the intricacies and complexities of the game, the huge competitive LAN tournaments, and its popularity around the world.
GOOD LUCK..instead of doing counter strike do gaming dont focus just on one game. I did it for one of my classes and my professor got really into it and had me email him events and stuff and he actually went to them. Don't be talking about gun and u have to be a terroist and blow the site up cause ppl gonna be like "thats the crazy kid" ROFL
#9 same alot of my friends played at school, but im just saying if u want to have a good presentation and have alot of things to talk about instead of just one game. But there is alot of things to talk about with cs and how it started and where it has gone
unless your already at the bottom of the social ladder....I would say dont do your presentation on cs cause everyone will think your a loser....might as well just do a presentation on wow.
this is you chance to rickrolll your entire class. this will be epic. start off your presentation with the title slide saying something like "Gaming Today". then bam next slide RICK ASTLEY - NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP.MPG. be sure to record this so as you can put it on youtube. it will be huge.

See the thing is.. people don't expect me to be a counter-strike player anyway.. haha... and I go to an 80% asian school that's ranked 48th in the nation. So I don't really care if people think I am a geek :)
do it on e-sports in general rather than CS, but I agree with you. why are people so scared that telling "normal" people might make them seem geaky. fkn sad and insecure, even know some dutch dudes that didn't tell their GF about it cause they thought it would make them seem uncool. ffs how sad is that, if she really likes you playing a game (even when doing it pretty hardcore) shouldn't make a difference, and if she doesnt really love you you're better off finding out sooner than later ;]

at least that's how it was in my high school...a bunch of my friends wouldn't stop talking about it sophomore year and that's how i got into it :X
