It's awesome bro, sorta a slow roller at first but by episode 5 or 6 you should be sufficiently hooked. Season 2 is REALLY slow until roughly the same point but ends really well. It's like a non-cheesy comic book where random people get powers and don't wear spandex.

i only watch the first episode of S2 but it sucked

Trust me nitro, you gotta watch it. I absolutely love Heroes I think its brilliant. On S2 atm in the UK but USA are starting S3 soon I think. But yeh I missed S1 and caught up by the box set.

#3 sums it up well. Its a programme with a global feel to it. People all over the world find out they have powers that help/dont help them in many ways. Of course theres your heroes/villians characters and twists aiming towards the predicted destruction of NYC.
