I've never watched much of n0thing until these first two matches of eswc and i must say I'm impressed. Now before i get flamed, let me elaborate.
players like n0thing is exactly what NA cs needs! He is new talent. There is no denying from what i've seen out of him in even just these two matches but he has some serious raw talent. With another year or two of experience he has serious potential of being a top 15 player internationally. His awareness in certain frag situations was truly awesome to watch, and very much refreshing.
NA cs needs these new players with potential to revive our scene! Don't get me wrong i love the players who have stuck around in the NA scene also, but if the older players pass down their knowledge to raw talent like n0thing has shown, NA cs could at long last become a true competitor internationally.
Don't get me wrong i in no way shape or form think n0thing is amazing or am overestimating him, but i haven't seen such young, raw talent in quite awhile especially in the NA cs scene.
If you disagree with me, or have you own opinion SHARE!!! lets get an actual decent discussion going on gotfrag again instead of lame ass topics. And if you think this thread sucks, sorry just ignore.
#cLANdodgers #danielvutran get on my level, nerds.
he already is top 15 in the world no doubt, he has a euro-style of play which is rare for people from america, fast-paced, risk-taking, nutty-aim, he's fun to watch
#5 yeah, i thought twice about implying he wasn't top 15 in my post. What i was trying to say was that he could be one of the truly notable players internationally, more than he is now. With more experience combined with his aggressive frag style, good aim, and awareness he could truly be one of the best.
And this wasn't directed entirely about n0thing, i'm using him as an example of the type of players our scene needs to bring it first back to its former standing and then secondly, accel it to heights it has never seen before.

the round where n0thing was saving with the famas ct side against 4 t's he had some ridiculous flick shots and displayed his in game awareness very well.

It's been said thousands of times, but i wish cgs hadn't taken our NA teams =/. We were finally starting to get a few teams that had potential to eventually be something to fear internationally. With coL, 3D, JMC, zex, U5, pandemic we had a list of teams that weren't class A international material, but that was a good number of talented teams in NA for them to practice against each other and eventually they could have possibly been something to fear.

#16 true. But if they had stayed i don't think they would have been overwhelmed by the rise of PGS and 68N did really well that year too.
coL was good, and entertaining to watch but i think they were just a little too dependent on fRoD to compete with the rise of PGS and the other euro teams stabilizing their rosters. coL's most consistent competition in 06 was probably fnatic most of the other euro teams had a pretty off year until they moved around rosters and such.

dude i love n0thing; he is a new breed that we can call Beast; and really NineSpot And Evolution are beasts as well; since i am a FanBoy of n0thing i do watch the other EG.usa members play and those 3 are beasts'
and if ur thinking to urself yes i do play on his settings; and i say ur point?
"L, did you know that, shinigamis only eat apples?"
it's hard to compare frod and neo though they are both on teams centered around their fragging abilities but neo was all rifle and frod still had a skilled rifle but he only truly shone through with the awp.
but you do have a good point wo-chuck, i appreciate the actual intelligent discussion btw much respect this is what gotfrag needs more of lately =D.
I have no idea how they would have faired against pgs or roccat you're right, but I can say with certainty that coL wouldn't have done much in the beginning of the year since they would have been with a new roster even if they hadn't switched to sauce. It would have been nice to see what coL's new roster would have been for 1.6 and how they could have done.
It's possible jlake wouldn't have released tr1p and sunman if they didn't go source, but in most people's eyes summy's time on coL wasn't going to last long after their poor performance at their last tourny, it was cpl right? I'm going off of memory so i apologize if i'm wrong.
In my opinion and thats what it is nothing more, my opinion. I think coL would have had a hard time against pgs in the beginning of the year just going off of how every other team had a hard time against them. They were so dominant to start off the year, and neo was on fire every tourny.

Its hard to say what kind of impact it would have on them. I think its pretty safe to say at least right off the bat, their performance would suffer from losing tr1p and summy. That team was together for a long ass time, and they were all friends. When they built chemistry the revamped coL could have been very dominant. When you take a team that was together for so long like coL and take out 2 of their members, especially their in game leader yeah there is gonna be a phase of building chemistry and teamwork with new members.
We'll never know about how they would have been in the long haul, but at least right away i think they would of had some ground to make up with a new team.

#23 imo "chemistry" is overrated with new roster shake ups.3D added shag and method and went on to dominate coL i cant recall how many games they beat them 10-3?with in a month span of lan games.they had less than a month or 2 to work things out and look what happened.
phrikshin : "IF I CAN EVER GET ON A PRO TEAM" - ROFLMAO!

col was the best team in the world for about a year in 06...
while 3d didn't have the results they were still a top10 team in the world and "feared"...

but i'm still not quite following... getting rid of your worst player, replacing your strat caller with a better one... makes you worse?
