Yeah I made the other thread which kicked up some conspiracys about valve altering their statistics. After making a few posts on the steam forums I got a reply from a Moderator and a Valve employee which pretty much explains everything.

So basicly steam stats only take the data from people playing cs over steam and not from the actual game itself. People who play cs with a crack/don't use steam to play CS are not included in steam statistics (therefore actually hurting our representation)

So, that means that more than half of all CS 1.6 are scrub pub players who play on cracked versions of CS 1.6 on non-VAC secured servers. At least now we know in everywhere but China Source > 1.6.

#18 read the quotes, they use the master servers and yeah I would find it hard to believe that no more than 500 at most players are "made up"
I couldn't really give two sh*ts how people decide to play the game, its down to the player and their preferences. Also its not just china, a lot of western euros use cracks

source is way "younger" than 1.6, and is already dieing, this is a FACT, everytime you hear a source kiddy saying 1.6 is dead or dieing, they cant even explain why, mainly because there is no reason cuz 1.6 is not dead or even close to dieing, instead they start putting immature comments that make no sense at all.
CGS is a piece of dog SH#T compared to ESWC or any other 1.6 tournament.
1.6 has WAY MORE tournaments and PLAYERS, so you can go shuv CGS up your Ah0le.
