he OD'd on anti-depressant, abmien (sleeping pills), and Xanex (anti-anxiety) pills that were prescribed to him. He took too a mix of them that happened to be fatal but it is known that him being so involved in the joker role is one of the reasons he needed the sleeping pills but not sure about the other 2, perhaps the break up with michelle williams. It wasnt his fault.
About the movie, he was much better than Jack Nicholson and he was flawless, I have seen it twice and was looking for any flaws in his performance and there isnt any, if he isnt at least nominated for an Oscar It would be due to the academy awards politics because we are in July and there hasnt been other performances like that, we'll see in the next 5 months I guess who else steps up.

not really, when you can't sleep, have a cold, and have anxiety problems. he got prescriptions for all three, popped them all at once, and who knew the mix was fatal. anyway, the movie was kinda too long, but his performance made it good.
