I agree, hanes is better as just a player, however, lurppis is a great leader and I think thats what EG will need over time. Difference might take some time to be noticed. However you cant compare both players as their function within the team is different.
You cant replace fRoD with a regular gunner.... Comparing his AWP with an M4 or AK....

Hanes may be better now at a single player stand point. But there is no way you can say he is better than lurrpis all around. Um hello they've played together for like 2 weeks and you guys are already flaming the SHIET out of lurrpis. Give it a couple months eg will be able to compete with world powerhouses. With or without warden. Don't be so quick to find the negative.

well i duno how good hanes is now, but if he can be as good as he used to be he is easily better than lurppis. i considered him the best na player along with method back then, and while na didnt have outstanding teams other than col, they did have great players.
that lan they played with the euros atleast two games i watch hanes did good(better then few other guys on that team) but i guess the rest have just played togheter so long they didint want 2 cut anybody else.
It baffles me how anyone can actually watch hanes play and still say hes better than lurppis. He was so volatile in the x3o match, played way too agressive because he didn't care what anyone thought anymore, and was just damn lucky that fRoD and n0thing were there to get momentum for EG so x3o would die from any push. Hanes is god awful and lurppis is infinitly better.
it is a team with frod and warden... they played source... they are bad forever(no matter how much confidence they have or talent)... they cannot win anything in international scene ever... if their team is replaced by people like f0rest neo lex walle carn or whatever they might win something... the problem with that team is not but the source b+tches that still play and will never be good enough no matter what they think they are... they are 2 years behind... if they can compete with the international scene ever then that means they are more talented oh which i seriously doubt
Ive always seen hanes as a solid player period. Lurppis has always been a solid player as well, but the major difference here is that Lurppis brings the international skill, something that just cannot be denied.
I always will view hanes as one of NA's best players, but this is definitely a positive move forward for EG.

kid you kno nothing about CS if you think Hanes > Lurppis, what has hanes accomplished out side of the US....nothing......lurppis had lead the TOP Teams of Finland since '05 with wings,Roccat,CrackClan,69N28E to rep his country for WCG, ESWC all his teams were able to compete internationally and he led them all......hes been on EG for 2 weeks how can u even tell so soon anyway....
