Get the open-air version. They're better than the closed in that model.

Get the closed model, they're closed in, why would you get the "open-air" ones. That sounds loud.

I got the Plantronics GameCom 777's and the directional 5.1 is amazing on them .. i got them at amazon and they're really accurate with direction.. and they get loud and the bass and treble are pre-configured.. and they sound real smooth.

#4 is a dumb fck
Get the open headphones one only if you're planning to use them in a quiet area as these will leak and they will not minimize outside noise. Thus these will not be lan worthy or in any noisy environment. They sound better, have better soundstage and etc. They're better in every aspect when it comes to sound.

Closed back will block out outside noise and that's it. That's the only upside.

These do not have a high impedance so you do not need an amp/dac/usb unless you REALLY want to get everything out of these cans. To get the best info possible go to head-fi.org They know their stuff.

Another headphone of interest Beyerdynamic Dt770s/Dt880s they're very fun to use in Counterstrike.
