So there was this other thread where fodder was saying how we should do more stuff to help out the CS community if we really care and don't want the game to completely die, instead of just "trolling" The Gotfrag all the time.
So I was thinking about it and since I've studied CS for the past few years but haven't been feeling good enough to play for a while I think the best way that I could contribute would be to make a guide video series that would be helpful to a wide range of teams and players. But mainly aimed at helping newer players to get a big boost by teaching things that would normally take a few years to learn. I think this would help to increase the amount of new/entry level players into competitive cs.
I just need someone who can talk a lot to basically take what I say to him and record the videos with him in the map talking, moving, etc. Cuz I just can't talk a lot most of the time. Otherwise I'll just have to do it in parts here and there and it'll just take longer. thx guys
oh btw it's going to be more of a team/teamwork oriented series rather than focused on just individual skills, because that's what I think is the main thing missing in my experience. Everyone just goes off and does their own thing and doesn't communicate well and work off/with their teammates unless you play with people who have multiple main+(usually in paid leagues) seasons of xp
first video(split in 3): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ID7IqBDfW.. see #19 You could bookmark or alias this video and share it with new players so you don't have to explain a bunch of stuff, and/or send it to pubbers.
and if you haven't realized it yet it's pretty much some free lessons for the person that helps me that people usually charge $20+ p\hr for... all I ask is that you already know how to record your ingame and you talking on the mic to explain what I type to you.
err I didn't really think this through cuz I thought fodder would want to do something like this with me but he is busy doing other stuff. But I've been thinking and I think I will have to write down like a script or something then send it to you for you to say while going through the actions... unless anyone has a better idea x_x
it might just be easier for me to do a little bit here and there ._.
#20 I understand your point but there are definitely a lot of things that people learn over long periods of time (or never) that can be taught, and would definitely raise a person's level of play at least to average main level. If I spent a few hours with a player I'm positive that I could turn a pub nub into a main level player within a few weeks rather then the usual few years...
QUOTE:Just because I'm not on a current pro team doesn't mean if you get lessons from a current pro it'll be any better then taking lessons from me. In fact you can ask around for yourself but people who have taken lessons from both me and pros have said they learned more from me in an hour then they ever learned from a pro
You Suck And Haven't Done Anything, Nobody Take Advice From This Kid.
#23 I've actually played on a lot of different cal/cevo main teams even though I've never been feeling near 100%. I definitely know what I'm talking about but if you want conformation feel free to talk to people who have previously taken lessons from me as well as other pro players.
how do u make ur irc look like that and show the time and stuff and do u know why my irc wont let me open another program over it like i have to minimize irc then go to msn or w.e
i learned some stuff about my mouse...but you have a big ego for someone who's probably only been on some low tier main team...i mean come on your own irc channel for lessons..
#30 I have a lot of medical problems that effect everything I do including cs. In my opinion if I wasn't so sick or when I get better, I'd be good enough to not only be a pro player but a top player in the world.
Having my own channel for lessons doesn't seem over the top at all... lots of pro players offer lessons and have little to no knowledge to share. Those are the people who are offering things they can't provide, not me. I've extensively studied this game while I've been disabled and am pretty sure I have the answer to any question that someone could ask.
They bring experience, I don't think you seem to understand that you can have 2 separate players in a main level league and they can still be light-years apart, now imagine a TOP level pro and someone such as yourself, the skill gap is huge. Nonetheless this guide is good for someone just beginning to play competitively but your claims of bringing someone up to that cal-main level within a few HOURS is absolutely ridiculous, you're pretty much saying you can give them the experience gained in say a few months to a year in only a few hours...you can't bend time like that :)
#37 I completely understand that. No, the level between me and any pro is NOT huge. Like I said, if I was feeling good I'm pretty sure I'd be a top player in the world. I think this because of how I feel when I only get a little bit better much less if I were to get completely better.
"your claims of bringing someone up to that cal-main level within a few HOURS is absolutely ridiculous" I said a few weeks, and I stand by that. -though that person would definitely have to be dedicated and put in the necessary time as well.
#38 I've played against you and I've played against some of the top teams in the US...lol there's definitely a large skill gap, I only happen to remember you because of your irc channel...
I don't even think you've been on any notable teams come to think of it
Like I said #39 I'm really sick... I'm disabled, I have a lot of medical problems that effect everything I do... it feels like my entire body is shutting down... even when I'm feeling good enough to play cs I'm nowhere even close to 70 or 80%
When I am feeling somewhat better I'm constantly called a hacker and obviously I can't feel good/play good consistently because of my medical problems, so I haven't even bothered with teams for quite a while, and even when I was trying to get on teams my own cevo main teammates were accusing me of cheating even though I've played on client and been accused on client and never banned. But when I do get better I will definitely be attending some lans to prove myself.
BTW, your comment in #37 shows that you clearly don't know what it takes to be a main level player... I could easily take a dedicated cal open team and turn them into at least a playoff level main team. As long as the people are dedicated and willing to put in the time to practice things I show them.
I was chilling with this esea-i team and was listening to them scrim, etc. and their leader actually had to be telling them tons of basic stuff I always find myself having to tell my teams... the majority of people on pro teams are there because they know someone and/or have good enough aim and enough smarts. All pros/esea-i/cevo-p teams/players are really not on the level most people think they are... most of them just have better aim/reaction time then you guys who haven't been able to play on that level. They probably also make less mistakes. But as far as their game knowledge, many of them are lacking in that department.
#42 legit-proof doesn't show everything, it's also wrong about avelis... I was on that team for about 2 years... I was ptw...
cevo doesn't even show the earlier seasons too because there's a lot missing there... I never bothered with screenshots because they're so easy to fake... also, I've played for a lot of cevo main teams but not in the league, just in random tourneys here and there. Running real practices with smart players and studying demos are the important things though, anyone can play on a pug team.. that doesn't make you better.
I've been kicked off 2 cevo main teams because they thought I cheat... yet I've never been banned anywhere... no one wanted to take the risk that I might be legit... so it was hard as fck for me to find a team...
i will 1v1 you MaximilianKohler, map your choice, i win you never post on gotfrag again, you win you never post on gotfrag again, also cheemasp might be the best player in north america
MaximilianKohler, You Are So Dumb. Just Shut The Fuck Up And Stop Trying To Give Advice, And Stop Thinking You'd Be Pro If Only You Didn't Have Down Syndrome. Thanks.
#46 you clearly aren't listening to what I've been saying... I haven't claimed to currently be an amazing player... all I've said is I have the knowledge to teach advanced technical things to players that can greatly improve their abilities, and that when I get healthy in my opinion I think I would be an amazing player... if you really want though I could tell you sometime when I'm feeling good and I'd be more then happy to aim map you, but it would have to be on client naturally.

more to come~
It takes a lot of effort for me to talk and other bad things as well
msging u #14 thx
btw that sounds pretty enticing #15 I couldn't think of anything better (maybe sex with a gurl) then laughing and learning at the same time!
it might just be easier for me to do a little bit here and there ._.

You can train a newb, but then all you got is a trained newb.
lol #21 all I did was speed up the video :D
You Suck And Haven't Done Anything, Nobody Take Advice From This Kid.
hye nice videos btw helped alot
and for where you have to minimize it if you have winxp right click on mirc on the bottom windows bar next to start and unselect "on top"

cs is so political it is ridiculous.

I'm guessing those 4 days of cal main make you hyphy
Clearly I don't know what it takes to be a main level player...hahah I just play for fun, not to be "pro" but here you go:

I think I've proved my point, thanks for letting me get my gotfragging done for the year. Adios Mofo
