I understand a lot of people on the forum might not live in a place where it snows, but for those of you who do, what do you think about it?
Do you look forward to the snow every year or do you dread it's arrival?
I live in Boston. I hate it because it means it's going be terribly cold, windy, and wet outside anytime I try to go somewhere -- not to mention that they do a terrible job plowing the roads here.
However, I do think snow makes everything look nice, at least until it gets sludgy and all.

I typically dislike winter merely for the temperature and wind making things harder or more tedious. The snow in and of itself doesn't affect me much, but the season in general is not something I tend to look forward to. Driving a non AWD vehicle is also rather annoying in the snow.
Out of all weather related deaths in the country, heat is the number one weather related killer with 19.6% of deaths. Winter Storms is number two at 18.1%.
in portugal we always had snow but only in the higher mountains... but the changes with the climate and such are turning the tradition around since it snowed once or twice everywhere this year and tomorrow it is predicted to snow in the place where i live lol
Yea I live close to Boston as well, and snow is meh. I don't really mind it, just heating up the car is a bltch, and my job requires me to be outside for hours on end...so the winter...is awful. Oh, and shoveling is worse than anything...ever...besides raking the leaves. Raking the leaves is far worse.
#16 the people who cant figure out to keep their bodies from overheating or getting too cold to survive had no business being alive in the first place.
When I lived in Pittsburgh a lot of the time in the winter it was just cold and shitty w/o snow so it was nice when it did snow. In San Diego now so no snow, but went into the mountains last winter to go sledding and will probably do the same this year.

#16 all the other things I mentioned involve imminent destruction, mostly snow can be pushed to the side and people can return right to their daily lives.
And why do you feel you have to push stats on me like you are going to change how I feel about the situation, moron. He asked for our opinions but your condescending 4ss must not have caught that.
#30 it's called a discussion. I understand you are not bright enough to hold a decent conversation on a message board without getting angry.
You simple stated that you would rather live in an area with snow because all those other things by your definition are worst. But the reality of it all is that if you live in an area that gets lots of snow and ice, your chances of being hurt/killed are higher.
There's probably thousands of car accidents a day caused just by rain. Now imagine how many there are when it snows...In New England alone, every snow storm there are dozens of tracker trailers that jackknife and end up demolishing a small car.
#32 Being bright has nothing to do with getting angry, I was just SIMPLY stating that you are an idiot.
The point I was making is that accidents are avoidable while picking up your house and moving it a state away from a hurricane isn't.
I don't know, I guess a massive natural disaster happens every November and continues to last until March right here where I live. Hm, I guess I never noticed... Maybe I should moan and groan about it to New Orleans and Southern Texas.
I live in Fargo :((, its among coldest places in world. Last year we had 3 snow storms, and when it started melting, there was so much snow that it flooded the whole city.
I have experienced both extremes (extreme hot and extreme cold weathers) and let me tell you, none of them is particularly fun. Moderate climate is what I like.
But, if it is about survival, I would rather go with warm weather than cold. wind chill + snow is awful . Driving in snow is nightmare, don't even bother walking in 2 feet of snow, and when they shovel it off, it gets to slippery.

since i was 4 :(
I wish to make a snowman :(
I hate having to wake up a little bit earlier to clean off the car and shovel it out.

This and the next 3 months are the worst, depressed and cold months. Crap
you know its quality when you dab a bit on your tongue and you can feel the numb spread through your mouth
just apart of life, can't really hate it.
