I don't think you guys realize everything that ESEA considers when they are moving up a team. The team has to agree to go to the playoffs if they make it. They also have to have their own funding. SLP prolly didnt have the funding and didn't want to pay their own way to LAN. Same for some of the other teams.

#11 I think someone from SLP said they had an organization waiting to pick them up if they made invite, just so they could go the finals if they made playoffs. That's kind of an invalid point, and besides, do you think undertow said they would go to LAN in dallas? doubt it..
ok maybe you dont think they are, but according to buskey they weren't even contacted about a move up , qualifying for the LAN PLAY OFFS depends on your online play and dynamic can't even dominate main what makes you think they will come close to making the LAN FINALS for invite seeing as them lanning in the past is the only arguement esea really has for moving them up

not taking anything away from dynamic cause they have some good players, but 1 good lan performance doesn't really outweigh losing to so many mediocre teams online. seeing as the majority of the league is played online with only the finals being at lan (going by their record last season playing worse teams online in main then they will be playing online this season they probably won't get to the lan finals anyways) SLP has been a completely dominating force in main for a while now..its obvious they are above the skill level it requires to play in main they really did deserve the moveup. I for one know if SLP says (which they have suposedly) they were more than willing to attend the LAN finals if they qualify that just justifies moving them up even more.
beating top teams on lan and actually going to lans is > than never going to a lan and doing good online. these guys proved that they can hang in a serious lan environment, and since slp has never done anything on lan why should they get moved up over the team that has proved they can show up and do well at lans?
its obvious they were moved up because they placed 3rd in the WCG usa finals, meaning they placed in front of infamy/dinc, loaded, col, excello.. if you cant see why they deserve to have a chance in invite you're dumb.

#49 I don't really understand what you want from a league. If ESEA doesn't start building towards LAN oriented finals for their league, it will never be respectable at all. Might as well just give up on real competition and go back to playing in fly by night Online leagues that only prove how only teams are and how crappy these phantom league organizations are.
Then again we can always just beg Angel to come back and bring his fantastic business ethics if you prefer.
