The Global Gaming League has recently changed the ladder system to a rung style ladder. At the January 1st 2003 deadline the top 8 players in the Quake3 1v1, UT2k3, Warcraft3, Starcraft/Broodwar and Descent 3 ladders will face off in a Competition which yours truly will be Adminning. The winner will recieve an Alienware Laptop, also, the 6th laptop will be awarded to the player who has the highest rung average - basically, a player who excels in many ladders will have a better chance than one who dominates a single ladder. There will also be prizes for the runnerups.

The GGL has made this decision because it listens to it's members, there was a demand from its members to increase the level of competition so the new system was implemented.

The current ladder standings were applied to sort the new rung ladders, so if you were ranked #1 previously you will begin on the top of the ladder... so on and so forth.
