Counter-Strike: CAL-M Central All Star Game

By: Ben - Published July 19, 2004 at 6:50 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Your favorite cal-m central predictor, think, has put together an all star game for you cal-m central guys! This is a perfect time for an all star game as the cal-m season just ended and people anticipate the upcoming playoffs. Read more for more info on the all star game along with rosters for both squads.

Well, with this being my first season of writing for main on GotFrag, I told myself I would try to make some changes in not only the quality of the writing, but some new features to further community support for CAL-main. Not only for the central conference of main but as this is all I legitimately know, this is what I can post intelligently about.

So, without more of my rambling, the AllStar game is a reality, it will be hosted @ 9:30CST on Wednesday, July 21st and should be roughly two hours in length. The game will feature a best of three map series, much like the Single Elimination bracket at EverLAN, in which each squad picks a map and I choose the tiebreaker map. So now I will introduce the squads of who will be starting for each side, the map they have chosen, and the captain for each team.

North

Mike "Tors" Torsiello (C)

Erik "da_bears" Stromberg

Dan "fragile" Lee

Mike "meanbean" Bean

Luke "ruke" Sleman

Ryan "parkplace" Andersen

South

Ryan "krypto" Ducote (C)

Cris "Powerhouse" Huntsman

Edmund "Eldjr" Dlugensky

Arsen "xpL" Aslanyants

Charbel "charbel" Nicolas

Matt "triad" Benefield

The first map will be de_nuke as chosen by the North squad and will be played on a CHI GameDaemons server. The second map, as chosen by the South, will be de_train and played on a TX GameDaemons server and the final map (if needed) will be de_inferno and the server choice will be half/half.

HLTV should be provided as well as a scorebot and hopefully TsN will be able to shoutcast the match. Please be sure to tune in and support the rising stars of CS.
