Shock and awe takes a new form here at the CPL as TAU shows the #2 ranked team in the World no one can be overlooked. The inside story behind the match looks at the personal side of what could be the biggest upset of the tournament. The first indication that ESWC may not be random sounded just after 10pm CST. The shouts of excitement and shock reigned from a crowd watching NoA lose to TAU. TAU, who are they? Texas Area Untouchables. A long time CPL team with a lot of individual CS experience beat NoA with a strong first half of 9-3 as Terrorist, 13-11. ![]() “I hate to tell you I told you so,” said Amic after the match. His conversation prior to the match with ShaGuar took the form more of a “don’t be surprised if…” with the outcome proving the prediction. ![]() TAU’s roster consisted of many CAL-I players and former members of top teams. Kevin "brzrk" Russell, Corey “sinyster” Deveraux, Benjamin “pb” Johns, Robert Irey and Amic made up the five for TAU. Both pb and Amic were initial members of iFate, a team created by Fatal1ty. TAU now moves on to face CAL-I season 10 Champions, Rival. The Cinderella story could end against arguably one of the hottest teams in America coming of Lethal Gamer’s LAN win and a great run at the ESWC USA event. NoA on the other hand drops down into the loser’s bracket with a match against Evolution and assuming a win should face the winner of Gamewyze/Punto cL. |

Anyway, I couldn't care less about tau or noa but I'll say one thing, pistol rounds are still far too important in mr12. Any team that wins both pistol rounds has basically got themselves halfway to the finish line. I know the money changes kinda killed off mr15 but the impact of pistol rounds is still a big problem.

are you dumb?
Elude: The thing about them is everyone knew they were pretty good, but uh, now i think they're not as good as they used to be if that makes any sense because everyone knows how they play, I mean they really don't change their stuff up much, and if I got second place I wouldn't either, but they're not as unbeatable as before, i think they might get upset possibly.
Gosu: You can't buy teamwork. You can't buy teamwork.

Noa played too c0cky and deserved to lose anyway
So stop this clueless and childish flaming on the teams that where alone up there before ! It is ridiculous . Try to understand how this game works now....
Cs is not a random game, allot is kordination, strats, teamplay etc. the rest is pure skills as a team and individual..
If this game keeps lessening the gap between the best teams, and some of the mediocore teams, then make it a Best of 7.
the first map in lb is aztec. noa got the aim.. and are 3 from old eol witch ruled the whole aztec arena ;)
#40 :) i agree noa needs to either keep their mouth shut or pick up their game ;)
Look at the first half... noa narrowly loses first round... which sets the pace for the next 2 rounds. SO that's 3 wins for TAU right there. Then, when NoA can buy.. it comes down to a bomb, naikon, and a member of TAU. With some trickery naikon gets picked while defusing.
That's 4 for TAU.
Then some bad calls, some movements from NoA at bigbombsite at the worst possible time got them flanked on numerous occasions.
Then NoA, being forced to save again.
NoA had around 5 save rounds in the first half. Which i think explains the 3-9 score.
Then it's just random rounds or 1 bad call to end the game.
Will we see more?
