Counter-Strike: Pre-CPL World Rankings update looks at SKless event

CPL is less then a week away and GotFrag is going to get you ready with our release of the Official World Rankings. How much has changed? Nollelva and roster changes galore look to have impacts as teams begin to wonder what a SK.swe “less” CPL will do. Well the rankings won’t answer that question, but let’s see where the jumping off point will be for the post CPL carnage that we have all come to know and love.

Will SK.swe survive atop the rankings without attending the CPL? Seems unlikely but we will get to find out. Their best bet would be to see a lower ranked team come in and pull it off, but that seems unlikely. EYE continues to hold its second spot but spiXel falls off allowing GamerCo (Rival) and NoA to grab spots. NoA continues to see votes all over the place, but joining them in that position is new comer mTw.ATI (ICSU) who really was hard to make out. Their arrival at CPL could be very interesting for both fans and the rankings. D-Skyline seems to benefit allowing them to finally move ahead of astralis.

3D didn’t improve their hold on the top spot by much but u5 did some of the damage taking a UGS-Invite Championship of 11th ranked coL to take away some of GamerCo’s (Rival) lead. Big news is WEW who jumps into the 5th spot just edging out D!E by 2 points. D!E, zEx, EG and ECO all suffer dropping back a spot to the CAL-I Champions but without a CPL appearance, will their jump up only be temporary?

Not much movement at the top as The Titans gain an extra couple of first place votes, maybe a little forward thinking with SK.swe out of the CPL? EYE is still in the hunt with a solid team heading to the CPL but rumors of spiXel’s demise didn’t hurt them yet, will see after the CPL. Big loser in the mTw.ATI (ICSU) move was astralis who was really hurt. Voters seem to be sliding astralis below D-Skyline because of the move giving them the points to beat them both out. Mouz continues to fall as they drop another spot with mTw’s entrance but still held of Pentagram who lost a tough match to ICE-Gaming yesterday and may keep them out of a CSCL LAN Finals. CPL UK Winner 4Kings grabs the last spot.

General Ranking Notes:
1. Sorry, but there aren't any rankings for Australian, Asian or South American regions.
2. NoA is an international team, and do not qualify for North American or European rankings. They are ranked in the World Rankings.
3. Rankings are voted on by top teams from around the World by an email/point process where each representative ranks the team with the team receiving points based on their individual ranking per representative.
