Counter-Strike: New Scheduling Feature Coming for CAL

By: Michael Allen - Published April 27, 2005 at 12:04 PM EDT - Writer Archive
In the next coming weeks we will be adding a new feature to the CAL Website to help handle the scheduling of matches. We know that it is hard at times to contact another team and to get your match scheduled. They might not have anyone in IRC or they might not have gotten the email you sent. So with that, we are going to introduce to the CAL Site the ability for the Manager, Leader and Scheduler to send messages through the site which will be logged to your opponents Manager, Leader and Scheduler emails.

This will alleviate some of the confusion and problems that arise when not being able to communicate with your opposing team. This will also help us as admins when teams come and say they were never contacted and we can verify if this is true or not. So if you want to make sure you have proof that you scheduled your match, I suggest you use the new scheduling communication system we are going to be adding.

Please note that in the next few weeks everyone should verify that they have a correct and working email address listed on their profile. If you do not have the correct email address listed and logs show they tried to contact you via the scheduling communication system you may receive a forfeit loss.
