It’s a battle of the overlooked in Europe for a spot in the EuroCup X Finals, The Titans against Pentagram. The Titans origins in the smaller populated Denmark leave it often overlooked when people talk about the top teams in the World, but its previous accomplishments in 2004 can’t be ignored. Winning ESWC 2004, along with numerous top 10 finishes and a second place at WCG 2004 put them as the team to beat among the final four left in Clanbase’s Eurocup X; which includes Swedish Metro and Spanish x6tence along with Pentagram. Still recently questions have arisen for this powerhouse. A pair losses to fellow Danes and emerging International force Asylum at Played LAN #6 this past weekend has left some questions. Now The Titans face possibly their toughest test on a road to the championship today against Pentagram. The Polish team seems to have fits of inconsistency, showing they belong among the best one weekend at tournaments such as Lehntiz’s to weak or none showings the following weekends. Without a Nollelva performance (or similar Internationally attended event) or a CPL, Pentagram is missing that truly defining mark. Although a win here against The Titans may not secure them such a place, it would help restore confidence in this team’s future possibilities.
