Counter-Strike: Brooks` Melee CAL-I 1:1

By: Stuart Brooks - Published January 13, 2005 at 12:18 AM EST - Writer Archive
The new season is now underway with 1:1 almost over. Only 2 reschedules and 0 forfeits really starts the season off well. We saw a ton of blowouts tonight with coL almost completely blanking blindside. There was only one close match that went down to the wire, which was the rematch of CAL-I's finals last season.

This time 3D came out victorious as a great comeback on CT side sealed WEW's fate.

Player of the Night: D!E|CuZ – CuZ lead his team and all other players in frags tonight against .pV. With his 17 frags as CT, it started the off night well for his team, following a 23 frag T half to seal the deal.

Surprise of the Night: rSports – People had thought EG was inactive, but rS stepped it up against the canadian team, even making them leave as soon as the match was mathematically over. With a shocking score of 26-4, they really played better than most expected

Stock Rising: rS – The win against normally very good EG helps them in their division with the head to head win against them.

Stock Falling: EG really has to get active again and start playing with their normal roster. They can't afford to lose ground in their division so early against "lesser teams"

Random: There were 12 players tonight who had three 3 frag rounds and only one person had an ace, D!E|CuZ.
