WEG(World E-Sports Games) was created back in year 2004 in the hopes of becoming the ‘e-Sports Major League’ for the gamers around the world. On the first year WEG held various test-drive leagues including ‘China-Korea National Match’ in the ‘biggest e-Sports market’, China. The ‘China-Korea National Match’ which took place on August 7th and 8th 2004 was praised to be ‘the most successful tournament in the history of China’. On year 2005, WEG began the full-scale journey with all-year long league where top gamers from Korean, China, Europe and Americas participated. The selected official games are ‘WarCraft III’ and ‘Half Life: Counter-Strike’ considering the popularity of these games around the world.

World e-Sports Games, Inc. (CEO, Paul Chong, www.worldesportsgames.com) is an e-Sports management group that plans and manages the e-Sports field. World e-Sports Games, Inc. is put together by Mr. Paul Chong, who has created and participated in the Korean e-Sports field, with the aid of professionals who have gathered to make the world’s first ‘e-Sports Major League’ a success.
