However, a lot of time has passed since then and Curbelo's stature as a player has improved, while Check Six�s fortunes as a team have soured. The team we once knew as zEx has undergone drastic changes, losing players like Dan Aimetti and Brian "destrukt" Flander, and adding players like Charlie "cbz" Pyo and Anthony "m4gic" Coriale. This new roster has had significant trouble in CAL Invite, sporting a record that leaves much to be desired.

However, Curbelo has seen his stock rise in his time away from Check Six. During his stay with GB, Curbelo has maintained high Gamesense scores and was a crucial replacement for Coriale, who left GB to join x6 at the beginning of the current season.

With Coriale unable to play in WEG3, Curbelo will step in and replace him at the finals in Korea. GB's roster is also in flux at the moment.

The Check six roster for WEG3 is as follows:

Ya GB is pretty bad so James is going to need to swallow his pride and bring magic back if he wants to have any shot at being a top tier team this cpl. I think ionz is gonna carry x6 at weg, but they still wont get out of group play. Just like he carried GB at WCG against coL (he played a good game), but GB still got rocked simply because they are a weak team.

m4gic is not leaving x6. m4gic just can't take this large amount of time off of school, whereas i0nZ can, and has been playing with all but one of the starters on the WEG roster for a LONG time, and had much success with them. m4gic may just float in limbo while x6 is in Korea, or he may ring for a team, but x6 has made it perfectly clear that m4gic is here to stay.

#9 beat GB on LAN then come say that. They are a terrific team James made everyone good. Not to mention they are easy top 10 in NA

#11, never use comparisons like that, it's incredibly dumb. You're comparing a regular player to an upper tier team. He isn't saying he's better than GB, but rather that the other top tier teams are much better than GB. His skill DOESN'T FACTOR INTO THIS AT ALL.
However, I would agree with you that they are top 10 in NA.

top 10 in NA right now compared to the European talent isnt saying much, they couldnt even get past DZ at cpl, and getting 2 and then 3 rounds on coL at wcg? an event coL lost? Am I saying I'm perosnally better, no, but is GB a top tier team at this point (on lan) Absolutley not. They need m4gic.

Anthony was the nicest CS player I've met with all honesty. I hope he comes back.

magic not going is gonna hurt x6 a lot, but ionz going is also going to help them a lot. GB is prolly not going to pick any1 up, and just use pinekone. Pinekone is a talented player.

#26 it took place a month or so ago, and Turmoil, JaX Money Crew, and Check Six all managed to qualify.

#26 there were 2 qualifiers, and something like 5-8 teams bothered to participate total.

I can't attend WEG in Korea with checksix because of family issues...i will be finishing my associates degree next semester :D

m4gic in school rofl the kid can barely point a mouse let alone read a book

To make things clear we wanted m4gic to attend with us, but he opted out. We want a solid 5 in korea that can grow together during the 2 months and if nothing else, perfect our teamwork so when we get back we'll be a stronger team overall and will be able to compete with the best out there.

I like GB, they seem like good guys and they are still on the comeup in the CS scene as a team

I also like x6/former zEx just coz they're fun to watch and seem level headed as well

I wonder how much the x6 organization is helping the CS team in Korea...as far as funding goes
