Counter-Strike: CS For Dummies: The CT Save Rounds

Second Round: Middle Dip Squeeze

This tactic will more than likely not work and you’ll be lucky if you survive with any guns you have taken, but it is a great setup for your third round.

-All five players buy HE grenades.
-The best two spawns will be going left and rushing down the middle to nade theTerrorist dip if they are there. If you don’t see anybody, turn and direct your attention to alternate middle and throw your HE’s there.

-The last three players will all rush down the banana and nade the dip area, if not into the dip. Even if the middle two players didn’t see anybody, still throw them. This is because the offense probably delayed the dip.

Third Round: 4-1 Hall Push

This tactic is sort of like the second round Nuke tactic. Just like the Nuke strategy, if this is not played aggressively, it won’t work.

-The best spawn towards banana is going to buy an HE nade.
-The banana player is going to nade down deep and then spot down the banana defensively so he can fall back if the opposing team rushes him.

-The other four players are going to go through the back of the site and head towards the halls.

-These players are going to push the halls like they are trying to get into theTerrorist side of the house.

-You are most likely going to catch one or two players in the halls, who you will need to kill.

-After taking down the hall players, check alternate middle with your guns. You will usually see some under the window or coming up the middle a little farther away.

-If the halls are clear, just push into the Terrorist house together, then hold the Terrorist dip and the tower and try to get exit kills or even push the banana if you might have enough time to defuse the bomb.

This tactic takes a lot of practice on the hall guys' part. The strategy calls for a lot of run/walking so you are not heard, but are still able to get where you need to be as quickly as possible.

Well, that’s it for this article. Just remember, don’t ever take the eco rounds on the Counter-Terrorist side as a complete slaughter fest – every round in the match counts. Teams lose by a couple of rounds all of the time. Wouldn’t it be nice knowing that given a little effort, you could turn the match in your favor?
