The second pistol tactic I like is a nice fake. I’ll give an example for de_dust2. -Four players buy armor for their glock. One player has USP/flash bang combo. -This is going to be a 2-1-2 split. -I suggest taking your best two players to hit the B bombsite. These two are going to rush B and hold the B defensemen in that area as long as possible while trying to stay alive as long as possible. If you do a good job of this you will force a rotate. ![]() -The player with the USP/flash bang combo should head down the middle and throw a flash out of the doors as soon as possible. This will help sell the fake of bombsite B and make them believe it is a split. ![]() -The middle player is going to hide behind the big box on the terrorist side of the double doors and wait. If this fake is run well enough, one or two catwalk players will jump down to go double doors or flank through the lower B halls. Once this happens, the middle player will shoot them in the back and head catwalk. ![]() -The other two glock/armor players have been waiting outside of the long A double doors. You are playing this extremely defensively, in case the defense has played an aggressive long A. ![]() -You need to practice this strategy in scrims a lot. The two players need to slowly work up into the long A courtyard area while all of the B chaos is going on, but not peek the corner to the long A straight away. ![]() -Once one of two things happens, these two will rush up long A with the bomb and plant it. The first is if one or both of the B players dies very quickly. The second is immediately after the middle player picks off a catwalk player. *NOTE* Do NOT shoot at the defense outside of B when you are running up long A. You need as much time as possible. -You should plant the bomb for catwalk and have all three players play on the catwalk stairs so you will be able to delay the bomb even more after it is planted. ![]() If this tactic is run correctly and the defense buys the fake, you will be in a great position. Your middle player has gone catwalk so you now have three players in bombsite A. If the B players survive long enough for the bomb to be planted, the defense will either think it is planted at B, or they will have to turn around back to bombsite A and worry about being shot in the back. The second round Unless you got two or three kills, do not buy ANYTHING this round. And when I say anything, don’t buy anything. Don’t buy a deagle because you think you are a god and will win the second round for your team single handedly. Don’t buy glock ammo, because you more than likely won’t have a chance to reload. If you had a couple kills, the most you are going to buy is a flash bang. GOT IT PUNK!? The idea behind this tactic is to try your best to get another bomb plant. It’s not mandatory, but it’s very nice. I’m not going to get into any tactics, because I just suggest a 3-2 split or a 4-1 split, with the bomb going with the 2 or the 1. You SHOULD buy a flash bang so that the defense buys the fake even more, but it’s not completely mandatory if your bomber plays the round smart. The third round If you had a bomb plant in the first round, there is no reason in the galaxy not to buy AK’s in the third round (as long as you haven’t team killed anybody). With one bomb plant you should have about $4,000 and with two bomb plants, you can have up to $6,000 if you have been getting some frags in the first two rounds. “What?! I CAN BUY AN AWP THIRD ROUND?!?!” SURE CAN LITTLE FELLA! Now that you see your potential money situation with just one bomb plant, you can see why the third round should always be like your fourth round. You should be able to buy head armor, AK with some ammo, and a couple nades no matter what. When you do this you can either play an aggressive, fast tactic, or a slower tactic and maybe fire a couple glock bullets to not let the defense know that you have AK’s. I personally prefer the aggressive tactic. This is because the best rounds are eco rounds for either side. You have the opportunity to spray down an entire un-armored team with one clip. You will usually catch the defense off guard with your AK’s and surprise the whole team very easily. This concludes yet another CS For Dummies and I hope you have a new outlook on your offensive half. If you didn’t already form your tactics somewhat like this in the first place. Stay tuned for the next article in this series. Page:
