Before every major LAN tournament, GotFrag playbooks one of the tournament's favorites. For this tournament, GotFrag chose current #1 team in the US, Team 3D.

3D de_dust2 Defense

Pistol Round
Pistol round they had a sort of 3-2 setup. Volcano was boosted up to Catwalk where he peeked out for a rush, while method moved up Long A. Rambo checks for a B rush and then falls back to help out at Long A. Meanwhile shaG spots the Middle and dominator sits on the platform in B spotting the Halls.

shaGuar/Dominator
ShaG and dominator play in the B bombsite. ShaG starts off with some colt play, but is going to try to get an AWP ASAP. He and dominator only really use one stack, at the front of the platform. Other than that look for a couple box boosts and basically just floating around the bombsite.

Once shaG gets an AWP he likes to play in the back right of the platform or at the front left of it. When shaG is AWPing, watch for dominator to play close at Middle with a colt mostly.

Note: Watch for these two to push into B Halls with D.Eagles when they are saving.

Volcano
Volcano plays Catwalk pretty much solo. He likes to play pushed up and peek a lot. The indicator that he is about to peek is a high flashbang. After he peeks he likes to hop up and down and spot Lower B.

Other than that he may push up Long A a few times, flanking the Catwalk aggressively. Also watch for a flash/bait setup with rambo.

Method
Method doesn't switch his play style up much in his Long A position. He sometimes pushes up to peek the corner, but he mostly plays from the top of the A Ramp peeking in and out. The only time I saw him not playing like this was when he played Catwalk with volcano after boosting rambo above Catwalk.

Rambo
Mostly rambo will play defensive Catwalk backup. Other than that, he helps out at Middle or Long A. Sometimes he will push through the Middle double doors aggressively.

Note: Watch for 3D's favorite, the Long A eco round.
