The Antares Digital All-Star Game Final Vote Results
West All-Star Team: Stevenson - Matt is no stranger to the high caliber scene and has been among the top for what seems like an eternity. From helping lead EG take 2nd at CPL Summer 2005, to whatever the future holds, Matt is a top fragger consistently and being a popular one at that, as shown by the results, the Sword will look to take his skills into this match-up and lead the West to victory. Lin - Marked by an abrupt surge into the scene, Lin is as skilled as a player comes in this game. Taking Check-Six to notability, through onto JMC with a 4th place CPL finish and recruited in EG, he is a young and hot commodity within the community and no doubt is a threat to any opposing team. boms - Johnny is a favorite among many, as well as a burden to others. No doubt an incredibly skilled player, he leads the way for the revitalized Rival to try and ascertain a place back in the top of the North American CS scene. Calm and collective, Johnny can be a critical factor in a match with how well he is playing. Derosa - Another player marked by incredible individual talent, Derosa is one many love watching as he can pick up the slack for a team and carry them to victory. Currently situated with United 5, he is one of the younger teammates hoping to heave through to another level and no doubt has the ability. Ph33R - Jonny has taken a leave from the general commotion stirred by the community and may be for the best, relieving him of extra pressure. Like everyone on his team and on the opposing team, he is certainly skilled and also has the past of being a strong factor helping carry teams to victory. East All-Star Team: Method - Mikey, heralded as one of the top players in the world, boasting one of the best rifles, was almost a sure-fire pick for the East team once nominations were in. As seen by the results, he was the clear winner sweeping the other players. Mikey possesses supreme talent, but he will need to find his groove if he wants to help his team and take them to victory. Storm - Tyler is in the same boat as Mikey, being they are both considered as some of the best riflers and players upon the world stage. Tyler is a consistent player for Complexity helping in their historical dominance over the past years and will have to up his game in a collective effort to take down the West squad. fRoD - What hasn't been said about Danny already? Marked by controversy for being online, arrogant and several other factors, we can throw all those out the window. He is one of the best AWPers the world has seen, no matter who doesn't want to admit it. Danny can also change the outcome and momentum with a few clicks. It is that fact that has him a favorite to watch and a favorite for the MVP of this match. Volcano - Sal is one of the most consistent players someone can name today. With that reason, he still gets his playing time on a stacked 3D roster and why he was nominated by 3D in the first place. Not many can boast his consistent and top-level play and while others will write off his skills, he will be just as important a player in his victory or loss as the rest of the players on his team. LuckyTed - Certainly what most people will question is the 5th position held by Ted. However, this is as good a situation as any for Ted and for the spectators of these matches. Ted over the past year has shown he is skilled with both the rifle and AWP, but has yet to break into the spotlight. Perhaps this will be the stepping stone Ted needs to show the community that he is the real deal, and the All-Star stage will allow the community the opportunity to compare his skills with the rest of the All-Star players. While the other players on this list might overshadow him, Ted could prove to be an integral part in close rounds that could determine the outcome the match. Overview - The West team is a strong one, with a team assembled with players that have had a history of leading and carrying teams with their exceptional skills and intelligence. While the East on the other hand, is assembled of integral parts of rosters with incredible, sheer skill. At first glance, the favor has to be with the East, but you cannot count out the West with its roster, where any can flick a switch and have a great game. The deciding factor in this match will be the cohesiveness of the teams and how they translate that into their skills. With MVP on the line for $250 extra, one would think teamwork will be disregarded, but that could lead to the demise of the team. The Antares Digital™ Counter-Strike All-Star Game will take place on Sunday October 30, 2005 at 7:00pm EST / 4:00pm PST and will boast the ten Counter Strike players as voted in by YOU the community. The Antares Digital™ Counter-Strike All-Star game will be a best two out of three format played out on de_inferno, de_dust2, and the tie breaker if necessary on de_train. Page:
