Interview with Chacal from REVOLTZ

Could you please introduce yourself to all of the readers and some background info about you and your team?

Hi, my name is Douglas Ribeiro Silva, I’m 18 years old and I live in Rio de Janeiro to play with my team Revoltz, top4 in nowadays. I’ve been with the team for about 5 months now, but even being around for not much time we had great experiences like ESWC France this year. For now we are preparing for the CPL WT Chile and the CPL Winter in December.

What do you think your greatest strength as a player is?

Well, I always tried to listen to what the guys talk about me and so far I think the best thing I got is the skill. In the tournaments I always try to cheer the team up yelling and shouting to bring the team up in the decisive times. I have this ability to keep concentrate when I’m playing important tournaments, such ability that I don’t show when just practicing so I guess I work under pressure.

What kind of role do you play in the team?

With Revoltz I play with rifles; that means I play mostly with ak/colts and rarely play with the awp. I’m more the guy who listens rather than the guy who calls strats and tell people what to do. I always try to review the other team's style of play before a match and I always join the game confident for the win.

What kind of role do your teammates have?

Jorginho – He is the team captain, always bringing us new ideas. In game he is the awp guy and the team core when it comes to difficult rounds. I would say his best thing is the tactical knowledge.

Bebe - He is my bomb mate, bebe and I play together for a year or more. We left team Advanced for Revoltz and his role is just like mine, he plays with the ak/colt but he sometimes takes the risk with the awp.

a[d]r - This is the guy who makes the difference. He is highly skilled and knows how to think fast in game just when the team needs. He is also good with the tactics and he plays with Jorginho.

marc - marc was the one I had to learn to play with by the time I joined Revoltz. He plays with bebe and I holding the largest bombsite. Our team play has improved lately as we are always trying to innovate with new tactics always watching demos and practicing hard to grow together. He plays with the ak/colt and rarely with the awp.

How is Revoltz preparing for this CPL WT Stop?

The team has been practicing 5 days a week, 6 hours a day. We play against MiBR and x9 in our private LAN center, and sometimes over the internet against KaOz, oNe, zK and other Brazilian teams. We are hoping to get good results on the CPL WT Chile if not win. We will also be around the BYOC and we were invited by some Argentinean and Chilean teams to boot camp in . Revoltz never won such important tournament like CPL, ESWC or WCG in and we are hopping to break that cycle one day.
