Counter-Strike: More changes to Serious CPL lineup

By: Philip - Published December 09, 2005 at 10:29 AM EST - Writer Archive
Serious Gaming has had to make more changes to their CPL roster due to barrack no longer being able to attend.
Today we can finally announce our final line-up for CPL Winter 2005 World Championships event to be held in Dallas, us USA on 14-18th of December. First we picked up kononen to replace naSu for the event, as naSu is only 15 years old and therefore not old enough to participate. After that, Shiri decided to retire from Counter-Strike, leaving one more empty spot, soon to be filled with contE. However, that wasn't enough. At the beginning of this week, we found out that barrack is unable to leave school for an additional week right after WEG Season 3, which basically meant that we had to pick up one more player, or stay home. It was clear from the beginning that we'd still attend the event, and after few discussions we all agreed on who would be our fifth player for this event, and after he finally got his new passport today we can finally announce it: Toni 'toNppa' Luhtapuro will be stepping in for barrack at CPL Winter 2005, leaving our line-up as:

Finland Juuso 'contE' Sajakoski
Finland Olli 'kononen' Salmi
Finland Janne 'Kuppi' Kuparinen
Finland Tomi 'lurppis' Kovanen
Finland Toni 'toNppa' Luhtapuro

We'll be flying to us USA on Tuesday and the tournament itself begins on Thursday, so make sure to bookmark www.serious-gaming.com for our latest results, or drop by in our irc channel, #serious.team @ QuakeNet!
