G3neration X managed to get out of the shadow of mibr when they won WCG Brazil 2005. Although their performance wasn’t as good as expected in Singapore, g3x have something that mibr lacks: consistency. G3x doesn’t change their lineup every month like mibr. This has been a year of up and downs for this team. Back in CPL WT Dallas their performance was pretty bad as they were expected to finish top5. They managed to erase that bad experience at Dallas after winning WCG Brazil 2005 over mibr, their all time rivals. G3x did a good job at CPL WT Chile placing behind mibr, united 5 and Catch Gamer. G3x always put up amazing matches at CPL and somebody must be crazy to think they won’t in this one.

GotFrag was able to talk with Alexandre "gAuLeS" Bochi, one of the most representative players of g3x, who gave his opinion about this CPL.
How do you see Counter-Strike in Latin America lately?
I think CS in Latin America is growing every day and new good teams are rising. Events like CPL Rio and CPL Chile help in Counter Strike scene and bring more sponsors for events and teams!
Are Latin America teams at the same level as the other professional teams in the world? I mean, can they pull the win after all?
Now days in my opinion we have just 3 or 4 teams in a close level to European and North American teams. The most of the time we can't practice with teams from other places by the lack of events or bad ping, so the results of Latin American teams in major events is not as good as we can wish but is getting better in every event. Maybe in this CPL or next year we can put one team from here in top 2 of any good tournament.
You guys came from a recent loss in Chile, what are your expectations for the upcoming CPL Winter and how are you preparing for the event?
We bootcamped 4 days with MiBR in g3x Intel training center at Sao Paulo and now we are at Los Angeles (Netfragz LAN) practicing with some US teams. We expect a good position in this CPL, in this event that will be the best in the last years in my opinion. Many good teams will be here and is a good opportunity to show a nice performance and get a top 4.
What's your impression about the WCG result even when it was CS:Source ? This tournament will have a different g3x than the one that lost with Mousesports?
WCG was a great tournament but source is not a good game. We didn't practice so much for that event and now we'll be in a 1.6 tournament after an excellent bootcamp in Brazil. Now in USA for this CPL we expect a better result.
What do you think about the CPL and the teams attending this year?
This CPL will be very hard!! All the good teams from every part of the world will be there and for this event the team who wants to be the winner will have to beat many Top-Class teams on the road. In some past events the winner just faced a hard match once or three times maximum. Now the champion will have a real test.
Thanks, any final words?
Nah :p just cheer for us :)
