Counter-Strike: MiBR works around visa issues

By: Mark Cheben - Published December 13, 2005 at 2:15 AM EST - Writer Archive
Due to visa difficulties many feared that MiBR would not be able to make it to the US for the Winter CPL. However, they will still make it, but with some significant roster changes.
Here is the statement posted on the MiBR webpage.

Is not up to us to comment the visa issue criteria adopted by the USA Consulate, but is necessary to report that we feel a certain portion of cruelty. They made us waste all this time and one day before the departure for the most important tournament of the year inform us that ton and btt cannot travel to that country. This happens after looks like they understood the importance of the competition for us and for the sponsor. When we face the responsible to approve the visas issue, he informed us that the reason for the trip is not important but the potential illegal immigrant that those young men represent.

We took the decision of use the following line-up:

* Jorginho (c)
* Cogu
* Eduzin
* Pava
* Corassa

Certainly our task will be a lot harder with this decision, but we will fight for a good result. We will fight with the maximum of our strengths.

Tomorrow we departure to Dallas and we will try to recover the wasted time on the byoc.

This lineup looks alot like the MiBR team from 2004 with Jorginho filling Pred's spot. While no change this sudden is good for a team, many will like the old school feel and style this lineup brings.
