Counter-Strike: CAL Razer wrap up Melee

CAL wraps up its inaugural Razer tournament tonight live from the Cyberathlete Professional League. Four teams remain standing and will fight for a chance to win the $9,000 Grand Prize.
It has been a long time since the last CAL Razer match was played. That will all change tonight, as the remaining matches will wrap up with the winner getting $9,000. Teams will be facing off against one another live on LAN from the Cyberathlete Professional League at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas. Currently only four teams remain standing, two being 3D and compLexity who will go head to head in the Upper Bracket Finals on Dust2. The other two are United 5 and Team EG who will be taking on one another in the Lower Bracket Finals, this match will be played on Train.

Having spoken with Jason Lake, owner and manager of compLexity, he has informed me that Justin "Sunman" Summy will in fact be eligible to compete. However, news is not that great on all fronts, as Craig "Torbull" Levine has announced on the 3D website that he will be playing for the team as Josh "Dominator" Sievers and Sal "Volcano" Garozzo will be unable to for reasons that were not disclosed. The other match up will be in the Lower Bracket between United 5 and Team EG.

The CPL Winter tournament will then kick off the tomorrow, December 15th, with all teams in action. Be sure to stay locked on GotFrag all weekend long as we bring you unparalleled coverage including previews, reviews, summaries, analysis, galleries, MFAVP videos, scores, news and much much more! The Team Sportscast Network will also be live on site to provide constant dual streaming to give full coverage of both the Counter-Strike and Quake 4 tournaments.

Matches are set to commence at 6:00pm local time (7:00pm EST/1:00am CET). Set your Personal Timezone to find out exactly when the match will be played in your area so you do not miss any of the action.

Update: Razer matches have been slightly delayed, stay tuned for updated information and new start times. CAL and the CPL has decided to give United 5 the forfeit loss against EG and Rival will no long be playing. United 5 will now finish fourth and EG will move on to play the loser of the coL vs 3D match.
