During the course of the tournament Karpov will be touching base with some of your favorite players and teams via FIVE; a new interview series.

Welcome to FIVE, a CPL series I am conducting that asks five questions to some of your favorite players, owners, and prominent eSports personalities. Each question must have five answers and the interview must take no longer than five minutes; a 5-5-5 trifecta of sorts. Well I’m off to the races folks, or rather the BYOC to start the interview process.

We begin FIVE with Dan “Dantz” Goldshmidt of e-Srael.

Thanks for participating Dan; your five minutes begin now.

If you were a gambling man, which teams would you bet on placing in the top 8? Keep in mind you must list five answers per requirements of the interview. If you’re brave, you’re welcome to list your top five in no particular order.

My top five would be SK, NiP, 4Kings, 3D, coL (emphasis on no particular order).

Which five teams would you least want to face in tournament play this CPL?

Toy Soldiers, (lists a few other teams that my recorder didn’t pick up), my point is I want to face the top teams at no matter what stage, I came here to play those teams.

So you don’t want to face the lower-tier (no offense) teams?

Yes, that’s correct.

That’s a good attitude to have, most teams here would be happy with an easy route to the money.

Which five players do you least want to face in tournament play this CPL, and why?

How about the five that I most want to face?

That’s fine.

Well I want to face Spawn, frod, Shaguar, Mangiacapra, Heaton.

List five things you’re looking forward to doing while in Dallas.

I haven’t heard there is much to do in Dallas.

You have to give me five! It can even be five things you want to do while you’re at the CPL.

I’d like to do good; Raise some eyebrows about e-Srael, enjoy myself; have a good vacation before I enlist in the army after the event; in Israel army service is mandatory;

Hrmmm...

That’s only four you have to give me five! How about any meals / foods you have eaten?

Well the American breakfast was good, many meats and many eggs.

List five things e-Srael did to prepare for this event. Did you spend the past few nights at the bar, or were you up play booking your opponents until 5AM?

First of all we registered for EuroCup at home which is great practice. Second we practiced a lot, we played like 6 hours a day . We also watched a lot of demos to get new ideas, and everyone individually played a lot of counter-strike to be prepared. We are going to play against many teams today before the event starts.

Thank you Dan, your five questions are up.
