Branch 3 Mouz and the golden seed. God looks over Drunks and Germans. The most difficult issue Mouz will have to deal with is going to be g3x.intel, but I sincerely think Mouz will make short work of the Brazilians. With this bracket run for Mouz you can expect a decent placing even if they play like crap. Below that initial branch however, they have to deal with Catch Gamer, TEC, or Lunatic-hai. Bootman's Mouz Thoughts: Bobby is right when he said that Mouz has a godly trip to the quarter finals. This is where they will meet up with their buddies in Lunatic-Hai (HI-YAH!). If you remember, Mouz played Lunatic at ESWC and barely edged them out. Now they're going to be playing Lunatic on nuke. Now, when I started writing this I was going to say I think Lunatic may have a chance, that's until I saw they were playing nuke. Well here's a little story about 3D. We didn't advance to the bracket play due to the fact that Lunatic didn't win their nuke match. It was god awful. It's probably their worse map. Good luck. I usually would make a few jokes about TEC, how bad Elude is on LAN, etc etc. However, I have heard good stuff about TEC lately. As they just passed me a second ago to play against color, I pegged Jon with a dime, and that says it all. I got a dime on TEC playing an upset on Catch Gamer, beating out Lunatic-Hai, and then somehow, beating Mouz. Yea, I'm optimistic. So optimistic I'm only putting a dime on it. Bootman's Thought on TEC: I'm sorry to my boys Elude and Griff, but TEC never has a good CPL run. They placed like 9th-13th that CPL where Funk had a brat attack because of some mouseskates. God that was funny. Right now they have some players that came back and were inactive for quite a while. It's hard to say they're going to do too good this tournament, especially with having to play Catch-Gamer in the second round. I don't think they are getting passed that pain train even though Elude assured me they would win. I'm sorry, but I expect the Koreans to turn some heads. They're capable of it. The equalizer for this branch is Catch Gamer. I was told that Naikon wasn't going to be attending the event, that rumor was untrue. Naikon is my favorite Norwegian, I love that guy. Seriously, take a bullet style. Lars is such a solid player, even when he's consumed by college. Catch may finally be able to shut up the naysayers and go for a placing here. Once again, this is a team that looks so talented on paper, but seem to have had trouble recently. I'm pretty sure Catch will survive up to Mouz, in which we'll see how well those Bootman playbooks pay off for Norway. As we said though, Mouz is strong heading into this branch, and even if they won't get the same warm up that Catch Gamer will, Mouz is sure to bring the pain. |
