Counter-Strike: 4Kings vs. coL: Did They Change?

Although you will see that 4K has completely revamped their whole defense, they kept a similar pistol setup that beat coL at Lethal Gamers.

Day

4Kings did make a few changes to try and throw coL off on this rematch of de_cbble. The best change that they made was putting Day in the back of bombsite instead of Mangiacapra. Day is one of the strongest AWPers out there, and 4K realized this. If you have a strong AWP in B, you can have the other four in A, with no problem. The great part about having Day back there is that he plays a lot more mobile than Mangiacapra, and sets up in plenty of different spots.

Goodfella

I thought that moving Goodfella out of the swing was a bad idea. He is the best colt player that 4Kings has, and putting him in a spot where he can easily help both sites is a big plus. Rather than having Goodfella be the player in the connector to help both bombsites, 4Kings decided to let him cover B with Day. This was a great move, although 4K lost the match in their CT half, Goodfella was the MVP of this half. He used every box in the bombsite to his advantage and it got him two huge multi-kill rounds that made it look as though 4King could come back.

aKuji/natu/Mangiacapra

In the prior week when they played at the Lethal Gamers LAN, they had more of a 2-3 setup, with goodfella going back and forth through connector whenever needed. This time, they played a lot more like compLexity. Akuji and natu would play in either halls or the middle in some sort of stack, and Mangiacapra was playing the way fRoD does, just watching whatever they werent.

Unfortunately, I am only going to cover the defensive side of this map. This is not because this map is heavily weighed toward the defensive side, but because of my predictable defense in action. I have always said that you can control the your opponent's defense just by scouting them out. It is where they are the most comfortable on the maps and it is the least changed. You see this from compLexity alot. I know for a fact that 4Kings changed their defense for the better to prepare for this match, and it is a shame that they had the offensive side first.
