Begrip vs Check Six

Begrip comes to this event with a world class line up but shrouded in mystery. With over a six month break from competitive play, Begrip on paper could have trouble with Check Six. It was not the case though as Begrip locked down both bomb sites and only gave up two rounds the whole match.



EG vs eSreal

ICMATCH=1383,ROUNDS

The returning second place finisher from summer CPL is back facing off eSreal from Isreal. Rumors before the event said eSreal was extremely skilled and could force an upset but Canada’s team is here to prove last event is not a fluke. eSreal never could solve the defense of EG as they went on to win the match 16 to 3



TEC vs Catch Gamer

ICMATCH=1384,ROUNDS

Midway Says:

From the outside looking in this looked like a lock. Catch Gamer is the 10th ranked team in the World and 11th seed in the tournament took on American TEC. The Americans were 22nd seed and have never placed in the top 8 at a CPL event.

Forget all of that.

A huge comeback from 10 rounds down by TEC shocked the CPL and gave us possibly the biggest upset of the tournament.

Alchemist Says:

11th seeded Catch Gamer takes on 22nd seeded TEC in a must win match for TEC. This USA based teams has been struggling to find wins in online CS, and their CAL I future could rest on a good showing at this event.

Match started out with Catch Gamer taking the first 6 round as CT. After TEC got on the board the rounds came down to key one vs. ones ending the half 9 to 6 in favor of Catch.

Catch keep their momentum going by winning the next 5 rounds on offence but TEC came back locking down their sites only letting 1 bomb plant in the next 10 rounds tying things up at 15 all.

TEC didn’t stop in overtime winning the first 3 rounds attacking and picking up the last round the second half for the win
