Counter-Strike: ClanBase NationsCup IX groups announced

ClanBase have released the group assignment for their upcoming ninth NationsCup. Twenty four teams have been split into four groups of six. Matches are set to begin shortly, stay tuned to GotFrag for full coverage.

With the EuroCup recently wrapping up their group stage, ClanBase's NationsCup IX is getting ready to kick off. Sweden are the defending Champions and will be looking to make it two in a row. Last seasons Swedish team consisted of SpawN, f0rest, fisker, Red and Vilden. They defeated Denmark 16-13 in the Finals on Train. Denmark's roster consisted of zonic, FaG, HPX, mJe and Bloody, a roster quite similar to this year's team. Group play matches will be underway shortly, be sure to stay tuned to GotFrag for coverage.

Good luck! I really want Norway to have prb,XeqtR, and xione as starters and win their Group beating Sweden, and then have Denmark use zonic and hpx and win their group and have Norway vs Denmark where there the whole NoA is in the match server and they face off and we can see who performs the best from NoA :P

Sweden: f0rest and Snajdan aren't there, sad.
Denmark: Where's Bloddy? Or did he not show up because he doesn't want to play with zonic and hpx?

How many go through from each group? Top 2? If thats the case then:

A: Finland, Denmark
B: Sweden, Norway
C: Germany Poland
D: UK, France

sweden is not using their best players while Norway is.

Sweden uses that same excuse every year. Should be a good cup though, lets hope UK can rope in Mangi and Keir to play.

#12 Is "Sweden" (who speaks for Sweden?) excusing itself for winning only four gold, one silver and one bronze in eight seasons? Sure, we could have expected more, but I don't think "Sweden" has to give any excuses for those achievements.
