Flashbangs and HE Grenades

One thing that a lot of teams are really starting to catch onto is that fast paced works on the offense. It catches the defense off guard, and with the right smokes and flashes, you can quickly take over the top site. Along with these rushes comes one weakness for the offense -- the squeaky door. The floor player has two options of how to get this door rush stopped. The first is dropping down and throwing a flash behind the hut boxes, or my favorite, coming in from the outside entrance and throwing a flashbang back into the door room/middle. The rafter player should always toss a flash into the hut first, and then an HE grenade if the offense is taking upper quickly more often. The flash is going to help your floor player get into position quicker a lot more than an HE grenade that can still possibly get him picked off from the hut window.

As for the ramp room, if you two aren't throwing two flashes to the rounded wall at the beginning of every round, you're going to be in big trouble.

Spam Spots

My favorite spam spot has got to be this one. You drop from the rafters and quickly jump onto the hut boxes and spam to the offensive hut entrance. It will get you the most frags. Even if the offensive team is taking it slow, there is usually a player with good spawn trying to pick you off through the hut window. Here are a few other spam spots as well.

In case you are confused, the spam spot from outside will hit the squeak door and the one from rafters will hit the radio room, but it is usually more effective for a slower offensive team.

This is probably the least needed example since it is played most often. If you have any questions on this map, submit an "Ask Bootman" question.

That wraps up this edition of CS For Dummies. So until next time, stop those rushes and slow down the offense's pace of the half.
