Rival started their defensive side with a great three man stack in the apartments quickly killing two members of Team 3D as they came up the stairs. This put Rival in excellent position as the bomb as also dropped in apartments. United States Ron "Rambo" Kim would be the only member from Team 3D to pick up a frag to open up the match in the pistol round. Team3D would save for a quick round 2 before buying deagles in round 3 and being able to get into bombsite B. Kim would do what he does best and clutch the first round with the bomb down for Team 3D with a little bit of TK help from Rival.

Rival would be forced to save for the 4th round of the half allowing Team 3D to make quick work at bombsite A. Still using the momentum from the deagle save round, Team 3D would use some excellent teamwork while getting into bombsite B for their 3rd round in a row. This would leave Rival on yet another save round as Team 3D would easily take bombsite B again for their 4th round.

By the 7th round Rival would use some of their usual aggressive play on the defensive site by getting some great pushes, flanks, and stacks to hold of Team 3D. This would be a huge boost for Rival as they would go on to win the next 4 rounds with some great play by each member of its team.

Team 3D would finally end the stream from Rival by getting some great rushes into bombsite B two straight rounds in a row. Following their success at bombsite B, Team 3D would attempt to catch Rival playing more tight and focused at bombsite B by rushing quickly into A. Great work from both United States B. "kEEn" Aihama and United States M. "masternook" Torrez at A however, would shutdown the quick rush from Team 3D. Torrez would again come up big in the 15th round by getting 3 frags from his AWP at bombsite A as Rival was able to hold on to the final round of the half.

Rival would start thei offensive side out attempting a fake rush to bombsite B before rushing through middle back to bombsite A. Kim and United States Josh "dominator" Sievers were the lone members from Team 3D left in bombsite A as they did not rotate with the fake from Rival. They would each pick up 2 frags allowing Team 3D to take the first round. Rival would buy USP's during both of their next save rounds to attempt to counter the rifles that are usually seen early from Team 3D. Rival, however, was unable to get any kills during their 2 save rounds with USP's.

For their first buy round Rival would be able to quickly overtake bombsite A from middle for the bomb plant. United States Mikey "method" So and Kim were able to come up huge for Team 3D by killing the last 3 members from Rival and getting the defuse. The 5th round would be the first for Rival's offensive side as they were able to buy once again and by rushing middle into bombsite A, they were also able to catch Team 3D off guard.

With Team 3D still being able to buy, Rival would attempt another fake, this time was a double fake as they would go from middle towards bombsite B then back to bombsite A. Team 3D used great patience as they never bit on the fakes and were in perfect positions to defend the bombsite. This left Rival on another save round before picking up round 8 due to some unusal aggressive defense from Team 3D.

Round 9 would be probably the most important round of the match as Rival seemed to easily have the round won with a quick and perfect rush into bombsite B. Aihama, however, would lag out in the middle of the bombsite with the bomb forcing Rival to do the best they could without the bomb being down. This would leave Rival saving for round 10.

With Team 3D only needing 2 more rounds out of the next 5 rounds for the win, Rival would step up their play and be able to tie the half behind excellent rushes into bombsite B.

With the score even at 15-15, overtime would come into play with Team 3D starting things off on the defensive side. Rival would again fake to bombsite B then attempt to takeover bombsite A. Sievers would be there to collect 3 big frags for Team 3D. The next round would be Kim's turn to pickup 3 frags with Rival rushing to bombsite B. Team 3D would continue to hold down their defense for the next 3 rounds as well to win each round for the first half of overtime.

Rival would start their overtime defensive side off great with a huge 3 frag round from United States C. "kaM" Hanes. The next round looked to be in favor of Rival once again as Team 3D was faced with a 4v2 situation. United States Mikey "method" So would put things away by slowly being able to kill the four remaining members of Rival slowly.
