Bootman's CS For Dummies series continues with an installment on angles. This piece focuses on using angles on defensive to frag your opponents. ![]() In this article we are going to go over one of the most important parts of playing on defense, angles. Angles are the best way to catch your opponent off guard without having to do anything too insane or too risky. The best way to play at an angle is going to be up close and in an unexpected position. My number one word of advice is you should find a spot that will allow you to play from the corner of a wall where there is also a box or another obstruction (possibly a wall) to line up perfectly with where you are standing. (You will see what I mean later in some screen shots down below). When you are aligned like this, the offensive player will more than likely be either checking the first corner that you are not behind, or a position wider out. In either situation, their focus will not be on you, and you will have an angle where you will see them just as they are checking either spot. I did skip a few maps in this article, but the best advice I can give you is to put yourself into the mind of someone playing on the offense. You want to get yourself into a close up position where your opponent would not suspect you to be, a corner where they will have to check two spots on two different height levels, or a position in which they will have to check a much more trendy spot and overlook the spot you are at, giving you an easy frag. |

part 2 of this showing some angles for T side?
but overall i think u gave people enough to get the idea of what u were getting at.
Seems odd that you wouldn't give him any credit when he published his a few days earlier.
:(
Did you read Bair's piece yet? It is indeed a great article and can be found here - http://www.gotfrag.com/cs/story/31230/?sp..
He talks about angles for 1 paragraph and 4 screenshots as an introduction to the rest of his article. Making the assumption that Chris somehow took content from Bair and should credit him when Chris has been working on this piece for quite some time is an incorrect thing to do.
Just thought I'd add my own opinion in :D
Knew most of it, but still very helpful.

:D~
In reply I'd like to apologize to bootman after hearing that this piece has been in the works for a long time. My feelings were that maybe bootman was inspired by bair's piece and wanted to do a big article on it to really do the subject justice.
