de_dust2This is an "if you are playing at long A alone with a colt and there is no rush." The offensive team usually sends one or two guys here slowly on their default, which makes this spot great. If there are two, take out the first one and then strafe out to frag the second.

This is a good position (even if the offense is rushing). You will be able to take out a few who will be focusing on the bombsite and the door more than this up close angle.

If your opponents default is to send one or two into B halls slowly, this will catch them off-guard. You can widen this angle a little so you can catch your opponents checking lower B. Do not let yourself be exposed to the offensive side of the halls.

Any good offensive player is going to check this spot at a wide or close angle. This position will catch them checking for a bombsite A player trying to spot them before they are able to check the actual corner of the box. A wider angle will give you the drop.

If you are playing anywhere watching long A and are forced to fall back to spawn, this spot will be ideal, considering the offense will most likely be thinking they injured you pretty bad and made you fall back all the way to spawn to save your health. Low health or high health, this should get you a frag or two.

Although I was trying to focus on the defense in this article, this is probably the best spot to cover the A bombsite bomb plant. When a defensive player comes up from spawn, he is usually looking for someone who is peeking over the bombsite ledge or jumping to see if he can spot somebody. Meanwhile, the player also has to worry about catwalk, so make sure you have someone watching Long A for you. This spot also puts you in a great spot to delay a defensive catwalk retake.
