This represents a change from a week ago, when SK declined their WEG spot because of Christian "vilden" Lidstr�m recovery from surgery. However, it appears that Lidstr�m�s recovery is progressing faster than SK anticipated and will be able to attend the WEG Masters event.

[W]e are happy to announce that the SK.swe team WILL participate in the WEG Masters 2006. The team captain Christian "vilden" Lidstr�m has been recovering much faster than expected, which finally made this possible.

In addition SK will be participating in a promotional tour for ATi in Sydney, Australia. The tour will last from March 2nd to the 8th, and the main event �ATi Mania Day� will be held at Fox Studios Australia. Lidstr�m will not be well enough to attend, so long time SK staffer, Sebastian 'gosey' Selin, will temporarily replace Lidstr�m for the tour. SK explained the event in more detail on their site.

The main event will be the ATI Mania Day on March 3rd which will take place at the Fox Studios Australia, where the team will be playing various exhibition games, signing autographs and much more!

#6 4k beat 3d at cpl and col got raped by NIP keep in mind kr raped nip @weg and now even BETTER TEAMS are there col will get destroyed by WNV SK KR. this is gonna be so great i cant wait. 4k's did good at cpl better than 3d/col so dont know how u can say they are behind.

This just bossted the competition in WEG so much. This is going to be the ultimate test for all of these teams. I really cannot wait for this event.

#9 don't refer to a single event, btw coL destroyed everything since CPL (I know it's online...) but coL is really better than 4K, and don't refer to 3D lol. Time will tell of course

#9 There are no subsequencies in gaming. Just because Team A beats Team B, and Team C beat Team A, does not nescesarily being that Team C can smash Team B. All of these teams have had their success and their failures in the past. They're all here to prove that their successes weren't flukes and that their failures were.

And as an aside, Project_KR did not "rape," NiP, they won in 3 maps, and the third map went into overtime.

Not enough teams, and the teams could be better.

anyone knows if VBCast with vesslan & co. are covering the event or we will have to wait 4 or 5 months to acutally watch some demos?

Wow... this is gonna be a good one. Wish a couple more teams would attend, like Lunatic and Team 3D. But still the teams that are already going are all top notch. Looking forward to it.

would be good if only 1 team from each country would participate but still awesom teams .

So dissapointed, would loved to have seen our team compete there, they are yet to go to korea.

this is going to be a great tournament...until i realized there will be NO hltv demos or povs or scorebots or anything. F THAT.

but i would like to see coL do well, im not a big coL fan or anything but it would be nice to see an American team finally do well at WEG.

weren't there 12 teams last tournament, not 8. correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there are 4 more teams to participate. If not it really sux that nip isn't competing, they were one of the best teams last year.
