Tips for Deathmatch

Head On A Swivel

You are probably all wondering what I am talking about when I say this. A swivel is basically just meaning that there is constant movement. Much like in my HLTV Analysis article, where I say "Always click around", this is the same ideology. You cannot play this format and just look in one certain direction for your opponent seeing as how they will constantly be respawning in the same spot. My best advice for knowing the location of your opponents is to use your radar. Look and see what part of the map the bulk of your team is, and the opposite direction will more than likely give you a good idea to where the enemy is.

Corners

You will notice that when I am taking corners I am usually jumping; it's not a good idea in competitive play, but in deathmatch it will help. In a deathmatch setting with people respawning everywhere, it is very hard to keep track of where your opponent will be. The best thing that most people can do is just aim normally at corners where they think the enemy will pop up. Jumping and having an AWP will give you the drop on them since it is much harder to hit someone that is going through the air. If you work on this AWP/d.eagle combination enough, you are going to be able to frag a lot of people that do this jumping strategy.

AK and Colt

After you get comfortable with the AWP and d.eagle, I do suggest you move on to the guns that you are best with. You will see exactly what I am saying about how your reflexes and accuracy have improved. This will also help you for when you are actually playing competitively. It is still a good idea to use the AWP/d.eagle every now and then just to fine tune yourself when you think you're aim is lacking.
