SK.swe may still reign but challengers are increasing. In a month they’ll face two other teams now ranked in the top three for WEG Masters. Let’s see who else benefited from the recent update. Worldwide Rankings
Just Outside: 4Kings - 12, Project KR - 11 Another update and another top spot for SK.swe who remains unchallenged, still WEG looms in the coming month. Speaking of WEG, last season’s winner wNv remains at second while a new comer to WEG this season Complexity jumps up to 3rd. Complexity’s victories over 3D and Mouz at the Transatlantic Championship event reinstalled confidence in the American team. Below coL was a tie for fourth with Fnatic’s strong lineup and solid performance at SHGOpen creating a lot of hype around this team and Lunatic.Hai who still awaits a chance to prove CPL was not a fluke. Mousesports' solid play also earned them a few spots while SHGOpen’s Champion, Team NoA, jumped onto the ranking at seventh just ahead of the disappointing Team 3D who has struggled of late. NiP and Catch Gamer both round out the top ten. North American Rankings
Just Outside: Cyberglobe - 11, h5m - 6 Complexity finally regains the top spot in the North American rankings on the back of a strong Americup/Eurocup Finale defeating arch rival Team 3D who drops to second. The big mover in the latest update is Excello. Having won the only other tournament of note recently, CSA’s March Madness, Excello vaulted up to 4th just behind EG who also picked up an ESWC Canada victory and will attend France for their nation. Lower down in the rankings not much has changed beyond the move up by MugNMouse also on the back of a strong second place in March Madness. CAL-I without consistent play from 3D and Complexity has turned into a difficult gauge of North American talent but one beneficiary was Pandemic whose string of victories moves them into the top ten for the first time. European Rankings
Just Outside: Virtus.Pro - 10, Speed-Link - 6 SK.swe continues is strangle hold on the top European spot, without much surprise. Fnatic moved up a spot on the back of NiP’s fall down to 5th even with their second place finish at SHGOpen. Mouz’s ability to incorporate Element has paid off and their improved play warranted a positive move up in the ranking. Beyond that not much has changed beyond a drop for everyone to make room for NoA. Their SHGOpen victory over a strong Fnatic team with a newly created roster was enough for a vote of confidence from all representatives. At the bottom of the ranking a surprise drop for mTw.ATI who is currently 6-0 in EPS but didn’t get support even from Germany representatives of the voting panel who opted to vote for other German teams.
