GotFrag examines two of the bigger names in the Latin American scene and gets more information on their moves from retirement back to being a professional Counter-Strike player. ![]() Since we started g3x, we had our principles very clear to all the players. Never in any given moment the team was or will be opened to players that think they are above the team. With myself stepping out of playing I couldn't actually see things from a different angle and realize that the team was coming in the wrong direction. It was then that I met with Crash and Apoka and presented a new project, which was accepted right away, and ended up with today's team lineup. I remember you saying that the comeback day was very hard and full of meetings and stress. What was discussed in that occasion? Well, I think that is only up to the guys who were there at the meeting. We discussed team problems and personal problems, so it's not really necessary to talk about it. Rumors come and go, and KIKO told GotFrag that cogu, el and nak were part of the team when they were "kicked" because of some conflict with yourself. Can you give us your side of the story? What happened that they all ended up leaving? Well, as I said, this is the typical history of somebody that obviously doesn't have any idea what he is talking about, but I was expecting something like that, so I'm not surprised at all. I know it's not the first and won't be last time we hear such unfortunate commentaries coming from him. I don't have anything against the three players that were mentioned. In this case, cogu was never a part of g3x not even for a single second. As I said above, g3x needed a reform and a project was presented and just happened that el and nak were not a part of it. Thats it. Without such important players, how is the team now? The team is as it always was; working hard and strong to keep on top. I'm having the pleasure of playing and getting to know the two new players, Chucky and Lance. Both are very skillful and competent players, but the important thing is that they came with the most professional intention possible, and to add all their experience to the team. They are very good people and I'm pretty sure the team is happy with their arrival. What was the criteria used to recruit Lance? I think Lance doesn't need introductions, for those who are familiar with the Brazilian scene they know what I'm talking about. He's an experienced player, dedicated and focused on his job. He is humble and comes with a very good will of playing and he is a person who likes to keep evolving. All these together have a name, and it's Lance. Have you started practicing yet? Any tournament in sight for the near future? We started practicing for two weeks now and I believe in one more we will be 100% ready for the upcoming tournaments of BrasilCup and ESWC Qualifier. What you think of what KIKO said about that there will be always a MiBR team winning the tournaments they attend? I rather have facts instead of words, tournaments are won inside the server and not outside of it. Welcome again Gaules, thanks for your time and attention, and good luck with the new g3x. You're welcome :) Page:
