Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006 will see the conclusion of the 2006 World eSports Games Masters tournament in Hangzhou, China. Last night, wNv Gaming faced off against Hacker Project in a rematch of last seasons Grand Final match up, the first map was close with a sixteen to thirteen score in favour of the Chinese. The match was looking to be a great one with both teams playing well, however, wNv really surged in the next map with great play from sakula and crushed Hacker Project by a score of sixteen to one and secure their second straight berth into the WEG Finals.

Complexity and Catch Gamer also played a thriller of an opening Semi Final map on Train. After grabbing a big eleven to four lead, coL looked to be in great position, but Catch stormed back and forced it into overtime. That was it, however, as coL would come back and win it in overtime. The second map also started of close with a first half score of eight to seven for coL despite Catch originally haveing a six to nothing lead. The next half coL shut Catch Gamer down and went on to win sixteen to eight, setting a date against the Chinese in the Grand Finals

According to the WEG administrators, the three maps in each match will be selected randomly through a coin toss, however, that has not been 100% confirmed. Stay tuned to GotFrag for all the updates, we will be your home for all the WEG Masters coverage.
