A battle between Chinese wNv and American Complexity was also a battle for the MVP award. American’s Danny “fRoD” Montaner came into the match with a huge advantage in all statistical categories over wNv’s best player Ke Fei “Jungle” Yang. Montaner was in the mix largely because he was the player with the biggest impact on his team with stats well above any of his fellow teammates.

A win by Complexity would all but seal up the MVP award for their star Montaner. But it was not to be, not only did it not play out that way a new face was added to the mix.

By outplaying both stars, Jiang “Mikk” Pu of wNv gave his fellow teammate a run but in the end came up short. Without the consistent results all tournament, Pu didn’t have enough to edge out Yang.

Yang finished with a 0.868 FPR (Frags Per Round), good for second in the tournament, while leading the entire event in frags with 262. He also finished tied for first in +/- with a 76 combined with a third in DAR (Damage Average per Round), 86.3. Other key categories Yang finished at the top in was 2F (Two Frags per Rounds) with 49 and tied for the most Aces (Five Frags per Rounds) with 2.
