It didn't take too long to decide who the MVP of the tournament was but three men sure made it interesting. A win by Complexity would all but seal up the MVP award for their star Montaner. But it was not to be, not only did it not play out that way a new face was added to the mix. By outplaying both stars, Jiang “Mikk” Pu of wNv gave his fellow teammate a run but in the end came up short. Without the consistent results all tournament, Pu didn’t have enough to edge out Yang. MVP of WEG Masters 2006 Counter-Strike - Ke Fei “Jungle” Yang Runner-up: Danny “fRoD” Montaner Third Place: Jiang “Mikk” Pu of wNv Gaming Yang finished with a 0.868 FPR (Frags Per Round), good for second in the tournament, while leading the entire event in frags with 262. He also finished tied for first in +/- with a 76 combined with a third in DAR (Damage Average per Round), 86.3. Other key categories Yang finished at the top in was 2F (Two Frags per Rounds) with 49 and tied for the most Aces (Five Frags per Rounds) with 2.
