By: Calvin Lin - Published May 27, 2006 at 8:09 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Twenty four teams go head-to-head in Australia as they look to win the right to move on to the championships in France.
Alongside the Quake 4 qualifier is the Australian ESWC Counter-Strike qualifier this weekend. Twenty four teams entered in hopes of grabbing that top spot, as only one team will move on to the Grand Final from Australia, to play against 46 other teams in Paris for the top prize.

The event began with group play format, each group consisting of six teams. The top two teams from each group will then move on to a single-elimination bracket with best of three maps being played. The victor will then be awared the Australian spot in the ESWC 2006 championships.

The single-elimination brackets can be found on the second page while the group play scores are on the third page.
